Release Notes

Added support for Silverlight 5.0 and Windows Phone 7.1.
Upgraded project templates and samples.
Upgraded installer.

There are some new prerequisites required for this version, namely Silverlight 5 Tools, Expression Blend Preview for Silverlight 5 (until the SDK is released), Windows Phone 7.1 SDK.

Removed dependency on the Silverlight Testing Framework. The Ria Services project 4.0 template uses it, but the Ria Services project 5.0 template does not.

Although you can run the installer as an in-place upgrade, there are a couple files which are not removed. So I would instead suggest uninstalling version 2.1 before installing this release. Otherwise, you will have to remove the following files from Documents\Visual Studio 2010\Templates\ProjectTemplates\Silverlight\Mvvm:, I'll work on modifying the installer to do the cleanup.

So far so good. I really like the strongly typed NotifyPropertyChanged. Good work and thank you Tony.

The toolkit for Silverlight 5 works like a charm! I updated my project from Silverlight 4 to 5. There was minor hiccup in upgrading with some of the references not updating to target version 5 but none of them were related to this toolkit. This is a great toolkit and needless to say, I am a BIG fan of it. Thanks Tony!
