Initial Set up

Hey,

I have no idea what I'm missing, but here is my problem.

I just installed Simple MVVM, and it is giving me crap in the default app the project builds. I haven't changed anything, and it is telling me:

"The name "CallMethodAction" does not exist in the namespace "http://schemas.microsoft.com/expression/2010/interactions"

I haven't changed anything, and I'm running everything (that I can tell) up to date.

Any suggestions on how I can make this work for me?

Thanks,

Nick

If it's a Silverlight project, you might be missing the Expression Blend Preview for Silverlight 5: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=9503.

If it's a WPF 4.0 project, you would need the Expression Blend SDK for .NET 4: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=10801.

If you are using VS 2012, however, Microsoft Blend + SketchFlow Preview for Visual Studio 2012: http://expression.microsoft.com/en-us/jj154135.aspx.

If all this is confusing and you don't want to deal with installing Blend, then all you have to do is reference DLLs in the Libraries folder where the toolkit is installed (usually %ProgramFiles%\SimpleMvvmToolkit ...).  The Blend DLL's are placed there for your convenience.  That said, I would suggest installing Blend if you can, because then those DLL's will be in referenced assemblies and you won't have to add them to each project.

Cheers,

Tony
