What's next for the Toolkit?

Hey Tony;

With all the turmoil around if Silverlight will live on or not, I'm curious about the future of the Simple MVVM toolkit?

Do you foresee future releases? Have you moved on to a different technology, and if so, care to offer advice on where you think technology is moving?

Hi Robert,

Good question.  Both MVVM and the Toolkit are alive and well, in spite of the demise of Silverlight.  That's because it supports WPF, which seems to be regaining ground it had lost to Silverlight.  Of course, for Win dev, WinRT is on the horizon.  Here is an interesting write up: http://www.readwriteweb.com/hack/2011/09/build-2011-what-is-winrt-and-i.php.  This is pretty good too: http://tirania.org/blog/archive/2011/Sep-15.html.

MVVM, on the other hand is simply a pattern and can be used with basically any client technology.  We'll need to cross the WinRT bridge with MVVM when we get to it. ;)
